March 2022 – Osprey Capital Partners Inc. (Osprey Capital) is pleased to announce it has secured a new financing arrangement for Ciscom Corp (“Ciscom”) from the Bank of Montreal. This complete banking solution includes both a new operating facility as well as a cash flow term loan to facilitate Ciscom’s first acquisition. Osprey Capital acted as the exclusive advisor during Ciscom’s financing process. The new arrangement is a private deal so the financial details will not be released.
The Client
Ciscom is a company led by a group of successful business professionals who develop and execute on mutually profitable, win-win succession opportunities for both investors of profitable businesses and their owners. The Toronto-based firm is focused on acquiring small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that not only have long track records but also have complementary business-to-business (B2B) technologies and proprietary competitive advantages throughout North America.
The Objective
Osprey Capital was referred to Ciscom to explore financing options for its first acquisition. Osprey Capital undertook a confidential process to identify a variety of lending options and sources for Ciscom. Once the need had been identified, Osprey Capital reached out to its expansive network of lenders that could add value to the transaction.
The Result
After a rigorous process, one of Canada’s Big Five banks – Bank of Montreal – was selected as Ciscom’s partner as it presented the best lending solution.
