John Pappas is a Partner at Osprey Capital Partners, where he advises mid-market companies on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic growth initiatives.

John brings over 25 years of executive experience across financial services, investment advisory, and enterprise relationship management. Prior to joining Osprey, he held senior leadership roles at Moody’s Analytics / Canadian Securities Institute, where he led national and international business development, strategic partnerships, and large-scale client relationships across banking, wealth management, and capital markets firms.

His career also includes senior roles with BMO, CIBC, Citibank, where he managed complex institutional accounts, private banking portfolios, and enterprise client relationships.

John holds formal professional training across Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Systems Analysis, and Capital Markets and Economics, providing him with a multidisciplinary foundation spanning technical, analytical, and financial domains.

Outside of his professional pursuits, John values time with his family and enjoys travelling. He is also an accomplished musician, producer, and director in music and film, and an experienced luthier, reflecting a long-standing commitment to creative craftsmanship and technical precision.
