February 2026 — Osprey Capital Partners, one of Canada’s leading mid-market investment banking advisory firms, is pleased to welcome John J. Pappas as Partner.
John brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience across financial services, investment advisory, and enterprise relationship management. Most recently, he served in executive roles at Moody’s Analytics / Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), where he led national and international business development, strategic partnerships, and large-scale client relationships across banking, wealth management, and capital markets.
Throughout his career, John has advised senior executives at Tier 1 financial institutions on growth strategy, complex transactions, regulatory alignment, and long-term commercial partnerships. He has successfully built and expanded enterprise portfolios, negotiated multi-million-dollar agreements, and led cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
Earlier in his career, John held senior leadership roles with BMO, CIBC and Citibank, managing large institutional accounts, private banking portfolios, and enterprise client relationships.
John holds formal professional training across Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Systems Analysis, Capital Markets and Economics, providing him with a multidisciplinary foundation spanning technical, analytical, and financial domains.
Outside of his professional pursuits, John values time with his family and enjoys travelling. He is also an accomplished musician, producer, director in music and film, and an experienced luthier, reflecting a long-standing commitment to creative craftsmanship and technical precision.
