Deal Execution Team

Our deal team specializes in executing a broad spectrum of mandates, including M&A, corporate finance, strategic advisory, and private equity advisory. This team plays a crucial role in managing and executing client engagements, ensuring seamless coordination to maximize value for our clients.

Job Description

Osprey Capital Partners is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Deal Execution team in Toronto, ON. This role is critical to our transaction processes, offering hands-on involvement in diverse and high-profile engagements. Associates work closely with the Vice President, Deal Execution, and other senior team members, gaining extensive exposure to clients and contributing significantly to the success of each mandate.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate, you will:

  • Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial data to support client transactions.
  • Perform valuation analyses and generate actionable transaction insights.
  • Develop and oversee financial models, marketing materials, and client presentations.
  • Prepare key client-facing materials, including pitchbooks, confidential information memorandums, and management presentations.
  • Manage data rooms and ensure effective information flow between all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and conduct due diligence processes.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or related fields
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial services – investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, transaction services, or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, accounting, and valuation principles.
  • Strong computer literacy and presentation skills, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior business acumen with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capital market transaction experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • CFA, CPA, MBA, CBV considered an asset.
